Compliance and Ethical Standards
At Argus Education, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity, compliance, and student welfare. Below are our core policies that guide our conduct and ensure accountability across all levels of our operations.
1. Code Of Conduct
As a registered migration support provider, we fully adhere to the Code of Conduct for Registered Migration Agents, governed by the Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority (OMARA). This code outlines the ethical and professional standards we are required to uphold.
Our obligations include:
Acting honestly and in the best interests of our clients at all times
Offering clear service agreements, including scope of work, fees, and expectations
Maintaining client confidentiality and safeguarding personal documents
Providing regular updates and transparent communication throughout the visa process
Avoiding conflicts of interest and ensuring ethical handling of all cases
We encourage all clients to familiarise themselves with this code for their protection and understanding.
2. Modern Slavery Policy
Argus Education has zero tolerance for modern slavery, forced labour, or human trafficking. While we are not legally mandated under the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth), we voluntarily adopt strong practices to prevent and address modern slavery risks in our operations and supply chains.
We commit to:
Conducting due diligence on vendors and service providers to ensure ethical sourcing
Training staff to identify and report any suspected slavery or trafficking risks
Promoting fair work practices and human rights across all our partnerships
Reviewing our operations annually to uphold ethical compliance
We are dedicated to working only with individuals and organizations that share our values of freedom, dignity, and fairness.
3. Under 18 Policy & Procedure
Argus Education provides migration and study abroad services to students, including those under 18 years of age. We recognise that younger students need additional protection and structured welfare arrangements while studying abroad, particularly in Australia.
Our Under 18 procedures include:
Ensuring compliant guardianship and accommodation arrangements for minors, as required by the National Code 2018 (Standard 5)
Assigning responsible contacts and welfare support during the student’s stay
Training staff on child protection, communication protocols, and emergency response
Maintaining regular communication with guardians and education providers
The safety and well-being of young students is a top priority, and we are committed to upholding all regulatory and moral standards in this area.
4. Whistleblower Policy
At Argus Education, we value integrity and ethical practice across all operations. Our Whistleblower Policy provides a safe, confidential channel for individuals to report misconduct without fear of retaliation.
We provide:
A secure process to report unethical, illegal, or unsafe behaviour within or connected to the organisation
Assurance of confidentiality and anonymity where requested
Full legal protections under the Corporations Act 2001 (as applicable)
Independent and impartial investigation of all reported matters
Clear communication of outcomes and actions taken
This policy is vital in helping us maintain a culture of openness, safety, and accountability for all staff, clients, and partners.
